There were a few minor issues, but the quality of care he received truly stood out. He had excellent aides and physical therapists, especially Gabriel and aide Noelle. They consistently got him out of bed, encouraged movement, and always took their time with him. They were patient, kind, and truly cared about his progress. The facility was also always very clean. There were a few aides I noticed who could be short with patients, including my great uncle, but I don’t want to base my entire experience on that, as it was not the majority. Overall, he was very much at peace during his stay. What impressed me most was his recovery. When he arrived, he was barely walking and was incontinent. With the help of therapy and consistent care, he progressed to walking independently and going back and forth to the bathroom on his own. He received proper toileting training and made significant improvements. The meal options were good, and the patient-to-staff ratio did not seem overwhelming. As a nurse myself, I believe this played a big role in allowing patients to receive the attention they needed to recover. I did witness a few unpleasant situations regarding how management handled certain issues involving aides and patients. I saw an aide experience physical abuse from a patient and then face repercussions due to reporting, which was concerning. However, these situations did not outweigh the overall quality of care my great uncle received. Overall, The Hallmark provided compassionate care and helped my great uncle regain his independence, and for that I am very gratefulOwner's replyThank you for taking the time to share your experience. My mother was in the (SNF) Skilled Nursing Facility at The Hallmark for nearly two years after her stroke in February 2023. My mother lost 90% of her ability on her left side and was bedbound, unable to use the restroom or even read which she loved to do. She also suffered from early to mid-stages of dementia. After trying and visiting a few other SNFs, I chose The Hallmark because of its friendly and comfortable feel and also because of its location. After a few months it became clear the The Hallmark was the right choice. Being bedbound requires a lot of attention; besides frequent brief changes, a CNA had to get her out of bed and into a wheelchair for each meal, exercise class, activities, therapies, bathing, hair and nail appointments, or to simply watch TV with the other residence rather than lying in her room watching TV by herself. The Hallmark CNAs did all this daily, got to know her, and treated her as their own mother or grandmother depending on the age of the CNA. I know this because I got to visit Mom on a daily basis and witnessed the care myself. My mother was very picky regarding her meals, but the food/meals at The Hallmark were excellent. Special entertainment was provided every holiday and the community areas were decorated and felt festive. The facilities at The Hallmark aren’t new, but yet it doesn’t lack anything and provide a warm environment. My only issue with The Hallmark is that there were periods of time early on where there seemed to be a high turnover of the CNAs. This is a significant problem as each resident has unique circumstances and needs for which the CNAs become mindful and careful to accommodate. However, this issue seemed to be resolved in early to mid-2024, and my mother had the same CNAs thereafter. We lost my mother in late April of 2025 and I want to thank the CNAs, nurses, food preparers, activity directors and even the cleaning/janitorial employees that all got to know, love, and care for my mother.Owner's replyThank you, Timothy, for your kind words and five-star review.
